FOCOR was founded in 1962 working as a distributor of textile dyes. Gradually our range of chemicals was increased and diversified for application in other industries.
Our commercial activity is organized in three different departments: Textile, Plastics and Industrial Chemicals.
The first two are responsible for the sale of speciality chemicals for textiles and plastics, while the last one handles high volume chemicals (commodities) for different industries.
Our head office is situated in the city of Porto, in our own building with 4.000 sq mts of office space and 6.000 sq mts of warehouse facilities.
Since the very beginning, our strategy was mainly focused on our customers and their requirements and so special attention was dedicated to the global efficiency of all our operations.
We were, in fact, one of the first companies in our sector to obtain ISO Certification in 1994 and meanwhile made the transition to ISO 9001:2015.
Our Organisation is “designed” to give a quick and effective response to all matters regarding our costumers requirements through an efficient internal flow of information giving a deep understanding of the company’s strategy to all our employees.
Human Resources is another vital area for us, therefore a special attention is given to our team’s needs regarding safety, internal environment and professional training. Every year, in order to achieve our goals, a training plan is set up for each employee both in Portugal and abroad if necessary.
The last but not the least is the Environment. Through fulfilment of legal obligations, continuous search of “cleaner” products/productions and efficient waste management programs, we close the circle of the Global Service we provide to our Costumers and Community.
These are some of the reasons why we have become one of the largest Portuguese distributors of chemicals.
